Overview
Business Development Executive (External). Our client is a leading manufacturer known for high-quality material production, technical support and competitive advantage. The role involves planning and organising routes to maximise daily customer visits, servicing existing customers regularly, approaching potential customers with price lists and literature, and following up visits.
Industry focus: Architectural Ironmongery | Internal & External Doors | Access Control | Window & Door Hardware.
Responsibilities
- Plan and organise routes to efficiently visit as many customers as possible within the area.
- Service existing customers on a regular basis.
- Approach potential customers, provide price lists, relevant literature and contact details, and follow up visits.
- Present a clean and professional appearance at all times.
- Identify customer needs on each visit and explore potential for new products and services.
- Maximise sales by informing customers of current special offers.
- Promote new products and special deals.
- Liaise with the Managing Director on sale prices, terms and payments.
- Coordinate with customers when stock and delivery issues arise.
- Aim to achieve and maintain sales targets set at the beginning of the year.
- Submit all orders to the office via email/phone promptly and communicate any urgent orders or special requirements.
