The Opportunity: SF People is working with a new entrant in the Employment Services sector delivering the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) contract. The organisation is a specialist provider under the new IEA contract. We are recruiting for an Employment Consultant for the Gold Coast region, based at their Southport site. This is a permanent opportunity to join the organisation to deliver the IEA contract, work within a fresh, newly created team and newly opened offices, and support clients alongside experienced leaders. This is a permanent opportunity with the ability to start quickly after the recruitment process for the successful candidate.
Responsibilities: The Employment Consultant role is involved in hands-on case management and service delivery of the federal government contracted Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) service. The role involves servicing clients and customers from a dedicated site, case management and ongoing support of clients, individual and group coaching and mentoring, creating referral networks, client engagement, marketing and community engagement, and ensuring effective and efficient delivery of services.
Relevant Experience & Qualifications:
- Proven experience working within the Employment Services sector will be highly regarded – ideally within DES or complementary programs – however experience from other Employment Services programs, Vocational Rehab, Allied Health or transferable skills from complementary sectors will also be considered.
- Case management, coaching and mentoring skills to work one-on-one with individuals or with groups of clients to conduct appointments, coaching, interventions, and group activities.
- Experience working with people to assist them in improving their life experiences with a focus on employment through further training and education, work trials and employment opportunities.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to run sessions and appointments to schedule.
- Keen organisational and communication skills, creating a welcoming, supportive and empowering environment for clients.
- Capable of being attentive, timely, and accurate with administrative tasks.
- The ability to work towards regular KPIs, targets and/or deadlines.
- The ability to work autonomously within a team environment.
Additional Information: This is a full-time permanent role based at Southport. Salary for the role will be negotiable based on the successful candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications, and fit for the role. Salary package is made up of base salary + super.
