Job overview

King's Mill Hospital is proud to host a purpose-built orthotic manufacturing facility that supports our highly regarded in-house Orthotic Service. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Orthotic Technician to join our dedicated team, helping to manufacture and maintain bespoke orthotic devices that make a meaningful difference to patients' lives.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with experience in a technical or manufacturing environment. Whether your background is in orthotic or prosthetic fabrication, engineering, manufacturing, or another related technical field, we welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate practical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality products.

Working within a supportive and experienced team, you will be involved in the manufacture, modification, servicing, and repair of custom-made medical devices. We are looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in their craftsmanship, and is keen to develop new skills.

Experience in prosthetic or orthotic manufacturing would be advantageous; however, candidates with transferable skills from other technical industries will be considered. Knowledge of plaster rectification, thermoplastic fabrication techniques, and CAD/CAM processes would be beneficial, although full training can be provided for the right candidate.
