Job overview

An exciting 12-month secondment opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Cardiology Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our established Chest Pain Specialist Nurse team. Working alongside a supportive team of specialist nurses, you will play a key role in delivering and developing a high-quality service for patients with chest pain and other cardiology conditions.

This part-time role typically involves working four days per week, with one day off to be agreed. The successful candidate will be expected to work across both King's Mill Hospital and Newark Hospital.

We are seeking an experienced cardiology nurse with Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification, excellent clinical assessment skills, and experience managing their own caseload. You will be passionate about delivering expert patient care, supporting service improvement, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

The post is advertised at Band 7; however, a development opportunity at Band 6 may be considered for the right candidate, with support provided to develop the knowledge and skills required for progression.

Qualifications

• NMC Level One Registered Nurse.
• BSc in Nursing
• ENB 998 or equivalent teaching course.
• Evidence of post-basic specialist education
• Educated to Masters level (or working towards) or equivalent demonstrable experience and learning within a specialist area
• Non-medical prescribing (or willingness to undertake)

Contractual

• Flexible approach to working
• Ability to work unsupervised.

• Significant experience post registration at band 6 with experience in working with patients in specialist area.
