About the Role

South Farnham Educational Trust (SFET) is seeking a highly organised and proactive Operations Support Officer to support the effective, compliant and efficient delivery of operational services across the Trust. Working closely with the Estates and Operations Manager, Chief Financial and Operations Officer (CFOO), Headteachers and central Trust colleagues, you will play an important role in supporting Trust wide operations, estates, compliance and administrative processes. This role helps ensure our schools run smoothly, safely and consistently, enabling leaders and teachers to focus on delivering excellent education for our pupils. This is a multi site role and requires regular presence across Trust schools.

As Operations Support Officer, you will:

  • Support the coordination of Trust wide operational services and reporting
  • Assist with day to day operational processes to ensure schools receive timely, high quality support
  • Support estates, premises and facilities management, including planned maintenance, statutory compliance checks and contractor liaison
  • Work alongside the Estates Manager and external advisors to promote strong Health & Safety compliance
  • Support procurement activities and ongoing contract and supplier management
  • Maintain accurate operational records, compliance logs and reporting cycles
  • Support administrative processes across schools, promoting consistency, professionalism and excellent stakeholder service
  • Contribute to business continuity planning and operational risk management
  • Support or contribute to Trust wide operational and estates projects, including capital and maintenance initiatives

About You

We are looking for a well organised, collaborative and solutions focused individual who:

  • Has experience in operations, estates, facilities, administration or a related support role
  • Has strong organisational, administrative and communication skills
  • Understands Health & Safety, compliance and operational systems
  • Has experience working with contractors or supporting estates related processes
  • Is confident working across multiple sites and balancing competing demands
  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity and attention to detail
  • Is committed to safeguarding, Trust values and high standards of service

Experience in an education, multi academy trust or public sector setting is desirable, but not essential.
