Location – Swindon, Wiltshire, UK
Join the UK team as Junior Finance Manager and be responsible for ensuring accuracy and reliability in all financial aspects of our operations. You will play a vital role in delivering operational efficiency and financial compliance, collaborating with various departments and teams from other SFC locations to achieve our global strategic objectives.
In your role you will be part of the motivated UK team manufacturing our own MEAs, in our recent established Swindon site. This role is critical to our team's success and will support various departments in our office. You will be an important contributor to this constant growing business.
Your part in our team:
- Oversee all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, cost accounting, and inventory accounting.
- Prepare timely monthly financial statements and ensure compliance with IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
- Provide support for preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, report variances, and analyse financial data to support decision-making.
- Coordinate and oversee the preparation of tax returns.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Coordinate and oversee external audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, and support month-end and year-end close processes.
What you should bring along:
- Proven experience in a similar role ideally in the manufacturing industry, an auditing or advisory firm.
- Ability to manage and optimize growing accounting, controlling and tax processes as the central contact person within the organisation.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Eagerness to grow and to take on more responsibility in the future.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems like proAlpha or SAP S/4HANA is preferable.
