About the Role
A leadership opportunity is available for a data-driven professional to join the team as a Salesforce Engineering Manager. In this role, the Salesforce Engineering Manager will report directly to the Head of Data Engineering and be responsible for building and leading a team of Salesforce engineers. This position involves close collaboration with the Data, Product Management, Product Design, and Engineering teams to drive the vision of delivering user-focused, data-driven products that meet the needs of the BPP Education ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of Salesforce Engineers, providing mentorship and fostering professional development.
- Advocate for strong engineering principles, ensuring consistency and quality across the team.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends.
- Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to create a single source of truth for critical business data at BPP.
- Lead the team in capturing requirements, understanding business problems, and translating them into effective technical solutions.
- Guide the implementation of Salesforce solutions that improve customer experience, staff experience, and data integrity.
- Ensure that all Salesforce development is scalable, maintainable, and easy to understand.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a technical leader within a Salesforce Engineering environment.
- Proficiency in writing and reviewing code.
- Experience mentoring and coaching engineers to help them grow.
- Ability to implement best practices and effective working methods across the team.
- Demonstrated experience working in Agile environments and fostering an Agile culture.
- Strong understanding of translating product and business goals into technology solutions.
- Passion for keeping up with current best practices in Salesforce and engineering.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and share knowledge effectively.
Desired Skills
- Familiarity with cloud-based data storage solutions, data lakes, and customer data platforms.
