Seeking multiple Java Developers (Microservices, Spring Boot) based in the South of England (West Sussex, East Sussex, Surrey, etc) for a leading business. Hybrid and semi-remote working opportunities available with roles paying up to £84,000 base (D.O.E) + performance-related bonus + benefits.
What You'll Do:
- Build, test, deploy, and support Java-based digital services that people actually rely on
- Work end-to-end on projects in an Agile, DevSecOps environment (from idea to live service)
- Collaborate daily with designers, testers, architects, and other engineers
- Improve how things are built by using modern tools, cloud platforms, and best practices
- Support and mentor other engineers
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot, including building RESTful APIs
- Solid understanding of TDD, unit testing and automated integration testing
- Experience building microservices with clean, loosely-coupled designs
- Working knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL), containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud-based platforms
- An Agile mindset with good problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team
- Some prior experience with leading/mentoring/people management, etc.
This role requires eligibility for UK Security Check (SC) clearance, therefore you must:
- Have lived continuously in the UK for the last 5+ years
- Have the correct right to work in the UK
- Have not had any trips out of the UK in the last 5 years which have lasted 28 consecutive days or more
- Be willing to undergo a thorough background check as part of the vetting process.
