SF Search Partners are working with a private equity backed SAAS and technology organisation to source a rounded and communicative Chief Financial Officer. The organisation in question is on a very strong growth trajectory and needs a CFO that can ensure the finance team and associated infrastructure are fit for purpose, while also working with the CEO to set and drive the strategic direction of the business.
The business has international revenue streams across Europe and the US. In addition to private equity funding, the business also has external debt. Ideally, you will have experience managing PE stakeholders and providers of debt solutions, instilling confidence into these funding mechanisms.
You will work closely with the CEO to shape and drive strategy, ensuring the business and its underlying infrastructure grow in a consistent and controlled way. At the right time, you will also lead an exit on behalf of the CEO and current PE backers. The Founders of the business are looking for someone to stay with them after this transaction if relevant; for instance, if this goes to a secondary PE deal, you will roll some equity and stay around.
We would ideally like to speak to CFOs who have been a No 1 or No 2 FD/CFO in a standalone PE backed technology business and have experience leading exit transactions within standalone companies. Candidates with experience in the SAAS and technology sectors, particularly those with associated recurring revenue streams, would be of particular interest. We also need candidates with experience managing international revenue streams; some knowledge of US trading/taxes would be beneficial.
This role will be largely remote/home based, so we need PE savvy candidates who can manage this approach happily, either because they find it appealing or are currently working remotely. The package will consist of a generous salary, along with an equity allocation that will equate to a mid six/seven figure outcome at the end of the first investment cycle.
