We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join a manufacturing business and play a key role in strengthening financial control, stock management, and costing processes. This role is hands-on and will suit someone who enjoys being close to operations and understands the numbers behind production. This is a 3-6 month assignment and requires someone who is available on a 1 week notice or immediately available.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Calculation of direct and indirect labour costs
- Stock and inventory control across manufacturing operations
- Product and process costings
- Supporting and developing the finance team
- Improving financial systems, controls, and reporting
- Working closely with operational and production teams
Essential experience:
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller (or similar) within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of stock, WIP, and production costing
- Confident working independently and using your own initiative
- Practical, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail
- On-site role - 4 to 5 days per week
