Technical Services Fleet Engineer – Leicestershire – Up to £45,000 DOE
SF Recruitment are recruiting for a Technical Services Fleet Engineer to provide technical product support to our clients Technical Services Fleet Engineers, trailer builders, Fleet customers and end users and provide engineering solutions and preventative remedies to minimise warranty claims and in-service failures. This role could be suited to a Fleet engineer looking to get \’off the tools\’ and into an office based role.
Personal Profile
To be highly skilled, competent, and experienced in traction and trailer engineering practices within the commercial vehicle sector. Must have a full understanding of Operator compliance requirements and have a cultural integrity around the importance of a proactive regime of maintenance and Service activities. This role requires a highly experienced communicator across many levels with a \”can do\” attitude, be able to write clear and concise technical reports. The role requires an engineer with a high degree of flexibility both in working hours and approach, be problem solving, self-motivating and comfortable within a challenging environment of customer support.
Main responsibilities
- Reports to the Technical Services Manager.
- Process warranty claims and provide appropriate support and solutions to customers and end-users.
- To build strong personal relationships at all levels, fleet customers including, but not limited to service mechanics, fleet engineers, fleet managers, purchase agents and fleet owners.
- To work within the Fleet services in support of the external customer base and internal production facility as required.
- To assist with the diagnosis of product and system faults both in the workshop and out in the field and to help provide solutions.
- To always provide first class customer service.
- To communicate customer perceptions and objectives within the company, to influence company strategies.
- To monitor and report activities within the market relevant to the company\’s operations.
- To support secondary products, such as Telematics (EBPMS) and Agricultural.
