3-Month Contract | £55,000 - £60,000 (pro-rata) Hybrid - 3 days office / 2 days home. Strong potential to extend to 6 months and possibly go permanent.
We are supporting a well-established business that requires an experienced Financial Accountant to join the team on an initial 3-month contract, with a clear opportunity to extend and potential to convert to a permanent role for the right person. This is a hands-on, technical role and would suit a qualified accountant with a practice background and previous manufacturing experience, who can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparation and review of monthly management accounts
- Full balance sheet ownership, reconciliations and review
- Supporting statutory reporting and year-end processes
- Liaising with auditors and responding to audit queries
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Supporting process improvements and documentation
- Ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting
- VAT
- Working closely with operational teams in a manufacturing environment
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Practice-trained (ideal), with strong technical accounting exposure
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
- Able to work autonomously and adapt quickly
- £55,000 - £60,000 salary
- Hybrid working: 3 days in the office / 2 days from home
- Initial 3-month contract, with strong extension potential
- Opportunity to move into a permanent role
