SF Recruitment are working with an international industrial organisation in Coventry, to recruit a Supply Chain & Logistics Manager to lead regional planning, logistics, and fulfilment activities, based in their Coventry site. The role sits within a commercially driven distribution environment placing strong emphasis on logistics management (Warehouse, customs, import/export), demand alignment, supply availability, inventory control, and customer service performance. This is a senior operational role with people leadership responsibility and broad stakeholder exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead regional demand planning and forecasting activities, translating commercial requirements into effective supply and replenishment plans.
- Manage inventory performance, balancing service levels, working capital, and stock risk.
- Oversee end-to-end order fulfilment processes through ERP systems, ensuring customer and internal service levels are met.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics across the UK, Ireland, and EU, working with third-party logistics providers.
- Own customs and trade compliance activities, ensuring adherence to UK and EU regulations and audit requirements.
- Lead, coach, and develop a supply chain and logistics team, setting clear objectives and performance expectations.
- Define and monitor operational KPIs, driving continuous improvement across service, cost, and efficiency.
- Act as a key interface between commercial teams, European supply partners, and external service providers.
- Contribute to regional and group-level projects, system improvements, and operational initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- Experience - Proven background in supply chain, logistics, or operations management within a distribution-led or commercial environment.
- Good knowledge of Demand & Supply Planning.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience with accountability for team performance.
- Practical experience managing cross-border logistics and customs processes.
- Skills & Capabilities - Strong planning and analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to manage complex operational priorities.
- Solid understanding of demand planning, inventory management, and logistics operations.
- Confident user of ERP systems (e.g. SAP or equivalent).
- Effective communicator, able to influence across functions and levels.
