SF Recruitment is supporting a long-standing client in their search for an experienced Credit Risk professional to join their team on a permanent basis.

Location: Office based – NG11 (Hybrid option)

Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday

Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 DOE

The role involves overseeing and managing credit and fraud risks within the organization. Responsibilities include identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks related to customer credit, financial products, and potential fraudulent activities that could impact the company\’s financial health. The role also requires developing and implementing effective credit and fraud risk policies, frameworks, and procedures to manage exposure while supporting business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the order release process, ensuring compliance with internal policies, including fraud detection and financial risk assessments.
  2. Collaborate with sales, finance, and operations teams to evaluate risks associated with high-value orders, complex contracts, or new customers.
  3. Assess and manage credit risk across various financial products and sectors.
  4. Review cash with order and credit applications, analyzing information to identify potential fraud, and justify decisions with managers.
  5. Set up new accounts within the system.
  6. Communicate decisions to relevant internal departments.
  7. Record information accurately on systems and manage follow-up actions.
  8. Manage existing accounts, conduct regular reviews, and ensure compliance with terms by requesting updated financial information.
  9. Maintain relationships with credit reference agencies and insurance providers.
  10. Assist with reporting and administrative tasks.
