SAP Project Manager needed on a permanent basis to be based 2 days a week on site in Crawley. £88,000 base + bonus and benefits.
The Role
We are seeking an SAP Programme / Portfolio Manager to join a busy and growing SAP team delivering a broad range of SAP initiatives - from small change requests to complex, multi-year programmes. You will lead, govern and deliver complex portfolios or programmes using recognised methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall and hybrid approaches, working with highly skilled, multi-disciplinary teams. You will engage closely with senior client stakeholders, managing expectations, identifying new opportunities, and helping shape future workstreams. In addition, you will contribute to commercial proposals, set delivery priorities, manage risks and dependencies, and play an active role in mentoring and developing colleagues as part of the wider Project Management community.
What You'll Do
- Govern a portfolio of projects or programmes across the full delivery lifecycle
- Lead and manage project and programme teams across multiple workstreams
- Support new business development, including commercial proposition development
- Take accountability for delivery across scope, cost, schedule, risks and issues
- Manage progress and financial reporting using industry best practice
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, managing expectations effectively
- Lead client negotiations relating to scope changes and commercial terms
- Deliver complex programmes involving multiple teams and/or suppliers
- Operate effectively within the wider account strategy
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong SAP delivery leadership experience across large-scale, complex environments
- Proven track record delivering multi-million-pound SAP programmes across multiple industries
- Extensive experience with Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery methodologies
- Recognised project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2 or equivalent)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, mentor and coach
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted, senior-level client relationships
- Strong financial and commercial management capability
- Comfortable working independently in client-facing or competitive environments
- Proven vendor and supplier management experience
- Outstanding consulting and customer-facing skills
