We are currently seeking an experienced **Data Engineer** to lead the migration of an existing data platform to **Microsoft Fabric**. This short-term contract is ideal for a candidate with strong **SQL development skills** and proven experience in delivering **cloud-based data solutions**.
**Key Responsibilities**-
Lead the migration of an existing data platform to **Microsoft Fabric** or Similar Azure tools

Build and optimise **ETL pipelines** using SQL and Spark

Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across the migration

Collaborate with internal teams to align technical delivery with business needs

Provide technical input on Fabric's architecture and capabilities

Strong hands-on experience with **Microsoft Fabric** and Azure data tools

Solid **SQL development skills** (T-SQL, PL/SQL, or similar)

Experience with **data platform migrations** and pipeline modernisation

Knowledge of Spark or Databricks (bonus if familiar with Python)

Able to work independently and deliver to tight timelines

Willingness to be **on-site 1 day per week in Widnes**
