QA Lead

Quality Assurance Lead£55,000 Manufacturing & Supply Chain Derby Hybrid working Occasional oversees travel (two to three times a year)The Engineering & Manufacturing division of SF Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced QA Lead to be part of an expanding team with a well-established business within the tool and equipment industry.

Scope of role

– Take overall responsibility for vendor / manufacturing compliances – Create product specifications and a gold standard for both manufacturing and vendors – Devise rigorous testing systems for all products – Set up a vendor classification system and define supplier capability – Root cause analysis for returned products and highlight any defect trends – Reduce waste and non conformance by setting up a 'goods in' quality system – Monitor customer returns / reviews to highlight problematic areas

The QA Lead

– Experienced QA professional ideally from a tooling / equipment background. – Proven track record setting up QA systems from scratch. – Well versed with overseas manufacturing, in particular Far East vendors – Confident change manager, with a proven track record improving / implementing QA management systems. – Strong self starter and relish a high level of autonomy – Happy to work across multi functional teams – this is a get stuck in role!
