SF Recruitment are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced temporary Payroll Officer to support our clients payroll team during a busy period. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with strong payroll knowledge and a keen eye for accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process end-to-end payroll for employees, ensuring accurate and timely payments
- Maintain and update employee records, including changes to pay, tax codes, and deductions
- Handle statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, and SPP, ensuring compliance with payroll legislation
- Assist in reconciling payroll accounts and resolving discrepancies
- Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and stakeholders in a professional manner
- Support the team with payroll reporting and compliance tasks as required
Key Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a payroll administration role within a shared service / high volume role
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, including PAYE, National Insurance, and statutory payments
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
