SF Recruitment are working with a growing and fast-paced business based in Sutton Coldfield who are seeking a Part or Newly Qualified Management Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role offers excellent exposure across the full management accounts cycle along with strong development and progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis and commentary
- Supporting the month-end close process including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
- Maintaining and analysing cost centres while supporting departmental budget holders
- Managing day-to-day banking and assisting with cashflow reporting
- Preparing VAT returns across UK and Ireland jurisdictions
- Ownership of key cost areas including Fixed Assets, Car Leases, Property, Warehouse and IT costs
- Supporting board reporting requirements
- Assisting with annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting processes
- Contributing to process improvements, systems enhancements and wider finance transformation projects
The Ideal Candidate
- Part-Qualified or Newly Qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA
- Strong understanding of management accounting principles
- Good Excel skills with strong analytical capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Commercially aware with the confidence to challenge constructively
- Positive team player with a strong willingness to learn and develop
