SF Recruitment are working with a superb business in Leicester in their search for a Head of Group Reporting to join their team. This position is initially a 6 month FTC with the view to extension or being made permanent. The position reports directly to the Head Of Finance & would be responsible for both internal & external reporting requirements.
As the Head of Group Reporting you will be responsible for Audit, VAT & Tax matters and ensure robust financial control framework and systems are in place & documented.
The Head of Group Reporting will be a qualified individual, technically outstanding with proven experience of group consolidations & acquisition accounting.
- Preparation and group consolidation and consolidated financial statements for audit.
- Preparation of other audit opinion subsidiary company financial statements.
- Preparation of non-audit opinion subsidiary company financial statements.
- Responsible for ensuring all HMRC and foreign taxes are filed and paid on time. This includes but is not limited to; Corporation Tax, VAT, CIS, PSA, Social Security, Class 1A.
- Overall management and key contact for the group audit.
- Overall management of the financial accounts team.
- Month end Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Review of subsidiary Balance Sheets.
- Ensuring accounting and tax legislation is followed and adhered to.
- Implementing significant changes in accounting law, such IFRS 16 and the VAT reverse charge.
- Internal expert for accounting and tax queries from the wider finance team, leaning on external support where required.
