SF Recruitment are delighted to be working with a Financial & Legal services business in Derby in their search for a Financial Compliance Manager. As the Financial Compliance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules, overseeing the day-to-day operation of client accounts, and safeguarding client money within the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Manage daily client account transactions including receipts, payments, and transfers.
  • Oversee client account reconciliations (daily/weekly/monthly) and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records for client and office accounts.
  • Prepare reports for senior management.
  • Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Review and approve client money movements and high-risk transactions.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on client money handling procedures.
  • Identify and escalate breaches or risks promptly.
  • Assist with policy development and continuous improvement of financial controls.
