Finance Officer required for an excellent business located in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire on a part-time permanent basis. This role offers a variety of finance duties including: accounts payable & receivable, payroll, budgeting & forecasting. 20-25 hours per week. The salary for this role is £32,000 per annum (pro-rata), really flexible model, with hybrid working on offer & an excellent benefits package including: 10% bonus, 10% private pension, 25 days holiday + bank holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Data entry into our accounting software, including recording all financial transactions, sales, purchases, receipts and payments
  • Manage our accounts payable and receivable
  • Complete all necessary VAT returns
  • Maintain financial records and liaise directly with suppliers, customers, and the external accountant
  • Manage our HMRC account and payments
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for the Board of Directors
  • Produce accurate budgets and forecasting and be able to confidently update the Board and Senior Leaders on this at regular meetings

Experience:

  • AAT qualification (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a Finance Officer or Assistant role
  • Experience in managing and processing Payroll
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Solid understanding of financial systems and VAT returns
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Excellent communication skills and is confident in communicating with internal and external stakeholders
  • A willingness to work as part of a team
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and organise own workload to meet deadlines
