I am currently assisting an organisation that operate within the Cyber Security Consulting sector, initially making a brand/reputation of working with large police forces across the UK and assisting with Digital Forensics and now emerging into the Technical Cyber Security consulting side and offering services such as outsourced SOC, penetration testing, vulnerability scanning to name a few.
This role is to join the commercial team to leverage current client base and offer technical Cyber Security solutions but mainly to create new relationships with businesses to meet their demands/challenges/needs.
- Ideal/Key background and duties for this role;
- Generating enquiries and leads
- Business Development; Identify, target, and engage potential clients through outbound campaigns, cold outreach, referrals, and networking.
- Client Engagement; Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Account Management; Build strong, long-term relationships with clients to foster trust and drive repeat business.
- Sales Growth; Consistently meet and exceed sales targets.
- Market Intelligence; Keep up to date of industry developments, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Supporting Tenders/Bid writing as required.
- Lead generation and data building through proactive and consistent outreach.
- Understand client challenges and propose tailored cybersecurity solutions.
- Create and maintain accurate records of sales activities, deals, and client interactions.
Essential Skills & Experience;
- Sales Expertise: Minimum 3 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in legal tech, IT solutions, or Saa S industries.
- Knowledgeable user of Hub Spot (or another CRM)
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity trends, solutions, and customer pain points.
- Consultative Selling; Ability to understand complex client requirements and deliver value-driven solutions.
