SF Recruitment are working with a leading global private sector organisation in Cheshire to recruit an indirect procurement manager. This role is responsible for the strategic sourcing and ongoing management of indirect spend categories to ensure optimal commercial value, cost efficiency, and supplier performance. The position plays a key role in driving cost optimisation, mitigating business risk, and ensuring contractual compliance across supplier agreements, KPIs, and SLAs.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and continuously improve sourcing and category management strategies across indirect spend areas
- Analyse spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and deliver sustainable value improvement initiatives
- Design and execute effective negotiation strategies to achieve commercially favourable outcomes
- Conduct market analysis, supplier benchmarking, and scenario planning to support sourcing decisions
- Monitor supplier dynamics and proactively respond to changes in market power or risk exposure
- Support financial planning through effective budget input and cost management
- Deliver agreed annual savings and value targets within GNFR categories
- Manage supplier contracts, including performance measurement against KPIs and SLAs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to procurement policies and processes
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, sustainability, and quality standards (e.g. ISO, energy efficiency, CSR frameworks)
- Collaborate across multiple business units to share market intelligence and support profitability initiatives
- Proven experience working within cross-functional teams in a multi-business or matrix environment
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in an indirect procurement or category management role
- Demonstrated success in delivering recurring annual savings and value targets
- Experience operating within a lean or small team environment to maximise GNFR value
