SF Recruitment are working with a growing client based in Castle Donington who are seeking a Credit Control Assistant / Junior Credit Controller to join them on an on-going temporary basis with a view to permanent employment should all go well. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their credit control career to build experience within a fast-paced, expanding business that offers a hybrid working structure.
This role would suit an early stage career Credit Controller with around 1 - 3 years' experience, who has a good grounding in the basics of credit control and sales ledger management, and is keen to learn, develop, and work within established processes.
Salary: £28,000
Hybrid: Office-based 3 days per week
Temporary: Potential temp - perm
Responsibilities:
- Support and manage the credit control function across a portfolio of accounts
- Chase outstanding debt and ensure timely collection of payments
- Assist with setting up and monitoring payment plans
- Investigate non-payments and help resolve account queries and disputes
- Perform account reconciliations
- Allocate and process customer payments
- Assist with credit reporting and regular ledger reviews
- Support monthly credit limit checks and updates
Qualifications:
- Around 2 years' experience in credit control
- Solid understanding of credit control fundamentals
- Strong Excel skills
- Clear and professional communication skills when dealing with customers
- A methodical, detail-focused approach
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and develop within a structured credit function
