SF Recruitment have a great opportunity recruiting for a Buyer for their client based in Leicester. This is a maternity cover role based in the office with a salary paying up to £30,000.
Reporting to the Procurement Manager you will be supporting various projects within the business. You will be responsible for placing orders in alignment with schedules and requisitions to ensure timely deliveries. You will be required to identify suitable suppliers and negotiate tenders and quotations, carefully reviewing terms. This is a fast-paced role and you must have experience working in a similar role.
To be considered for this role it is essential you are available immediately or on a short notice! Great for someone who is due to finish a contract or if you have recently been made redundant.
Main Duties
– Place purchase orders
– Rescheduling delivery dates with suppliers
– Expediting material deliveries
– Reconciling purchase order acknowledgements with details on all orders placed
– Inventory reduction through logistics parameters optimisation
– Ensure lead-time data within the ERP system is kept up to date
– To place consumable orders to meet the business needs
– Process supplier invoice queries
– Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure all business requirements are passed on to suppliers
Essential
– Proficient IT skills specifically Word and Excel
– Previous purchasing experience
– Excellent organisational and communication skills
– Ability to work to tight deadlines
