Part-Time Accounts Assistant (3-4 Days a Week, 6-Month Contract)
Location: Solihull Town Centre | Hybrid - 2 Days Working from Home
Salary: Β£30,000 Pro Rata
Duration: 6-Month Contract | Starting July 2025
Experience with Xero & Strong Excel Skills Required
We're looking for a reliable and detail-focused Accounts Assistant to support our finance team on a 6-month contract, starting July 2025. Based in Solihull town centre with 2 remote working days, this part-time role (3-4 days per week) is perfect for someone confident with Xero and Excel, who thrives in a structured, hands-on finance environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage the accounts inbox
- Handle supplier queries and obtain necessary invoice approvals
- Prepare and support payment runs
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Process sales invoicing and cash matching
- Manage staff expenses and company credit cards
- Support credit control processes and chase outstanding payments
- Assist with general bookkeeping and finance administration using Xero and Excel
Working Hours:
Choose from 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, or 10am-6pm. Includes a 1-hour lunch break. Work 3 or 4 days per week, with 2 days from home.
About You:
- Proven experience in an accounts or finance assistant role
- Strong working knowledge of Xero
- Good Excel skills - confident with spreadsheets, formulas, and reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation
- Clear communicator and team player
- Able to manage your time effectively and work independently
