Job Title: IT Systems Engineer
Location: Salford (Hybrid: 4 days on-site, moving to 3 days on-site later)
Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 + great benefits

Job Description:
My client is seeking a skilled IT Systems Engineer to manage and maintain IT infrastructure, provide technical support, and ensure seamless operations across four business groups. The ideal candidate will have strong server administration experience, a background in technical support to at least a 2nd Line level, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Server Administration: Maintain and optimize Microsoft servers, apply updates, and ensure system reliability.
2. Technical Support: Provide 1st & 2nd line support, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
3. Backup Solutions: Implement and manage backups using VEEAM, ensuring data integrity and compliance.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 2 years of IT systems engineering experience.
2. Base level proficiency in SQL.
3. Experience in VEEAM backup management.
4. Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to drive for occasional client site visits.

Advantageous:

1. Advanced SQL Management: Build and troubleshoot SQL queries, create reports, and manage database performance and security.
2. Experience with Lexis Nexis VisualFiles.
3. Experience working on complex 3rd Line issues.
