We are supporting a well-established UK services organisation in Warwickshire that requires an experienced Interim Head of Finance to provide leadership and continuity within the finance function during a short-term transition period. This role will take ownership of the day-to-day finance operation, ensuring robust financial control, accurate reporting, and continuity across accounting, payroll and transactional finance while supporting the senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the finance function including transactional accounting and payroll teams
  • Oversee month-end close, financial reporting and consolidation into group reporting systems
  • Maintain strong balance sheet control and reconciliations
  • Manage cashflow forecasting and support group reporting requirements
  • Ensure statutory reporting and regulatory compliance are delivered accurately and on time
  • Support collaboration between finance operations and FP&A
  • Identify improvements in processes, systems and controls
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to a small finance team

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent experience
  • Strong financial control and reporting background
  • Experience managing transactional finance and payroll functions
  • Comfortable operating in a multi-site or services environment
  • Strong Excel and financial systems capability (ERP exposure advantageous)
  • Able to quickly stabilise and lead a finance team in an interim capacity

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced finance professional who can step into an established business, maintain financial governance, and ensure a smooth transition within the finance function.
