We are supporting a well-established UK services organisation in Warwickshire that requires an experienced Interim Head of Finance to provide leadership and continuity within the finance function during a short-term transition period. This role will take ownership of the day-to-day finance operation, ensuring robust financial control, accurate reporting, and continuity across accounting, payroll and transactional finance while supporting the senior leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the finance function including transactional accounting and payroll teams
- Oversee month-end close, financial reporting and consolidation into group reporting systems
- Maintain strong balance sheet control and reconciliations
- Manage cashflow forecasting and support group reporting requirements
- Ensure statutory reporting and regulatory compliance are delivered accurately and on time
- Support collaboration between finance operations and FP&A
- Identify improvements in processes, systems and controls
- Provide leadership and mentoring to a small finance team
Candidate Profile
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent experience
- Strong financial control and reporting background
- Experience managing transactional finance and payroll functions
- Comfortable operating in a multi-site or services environment
- Strong Excel and financial systems capability (ERP exposure advantageous)
- Able to quickly stabilise and lead a finance team in an interim capacity
