Senior Buyer Procurement Nottingham Monday to Friday SF Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity recruiting for a SME business based in Nottingham. The client is looking for a Senior Buyer to join their Procurement team. This is a critical role responsible for creating supply plans and buying materials and parts for the Production schedule. This is a fast-paced role responding to business needs whilst meeting service levels. You will need excellent communication skills as you will be required to work closely with internal teams to ensure an effective flow of information as well as building strong relationships with key suppliers. The salary was this role is up to £45,000. To be considered for this role it is essential you have previous Procurement and Planning experience and understand the processes. You will need solid knowledge of data analysis, inventory management and forecasting techniques. You will need to be highly organised with problem solving skills. Scope of role – Develop short, medium, and long-range supply plans for items produced internally and externally – Deliver supply plans to support all Business Areas with an effective planning process – Report on non-availability of materials and potential shortages and provide an action plan to alleviate supply issues – Buying of materials and parts for the production schedules and material supply services – Assist with the onboarding of new suppliers which could lead to cost savings and improved quality – Deal with end-to-end shipping of goods arriving from outside of UK (mainly Europe) – Liaise and create relationships with key suppliers – Review and manage requests for incremental stock versus the plan and ability to support – Maintain the integrity of system data e.g. lead times, MOQ’s, confirmed delivery dates, pricing and stocking policies – Minimise stock holding without impacting production plans or material supply agreements The Senior Buyer – Experienced within Purchasing/Procurement – Knowledge of Supply Planning and inventory management processes – An analytical mind with strong attention to detail – CIPS qualified or an interest in working towards – Excellent Communication and Relationships building skills – Positive and flexible approach – MRP/ERP and Excel experience Please apply now to express an interest and a member of the Procurement division will contact all suitable candidates to talk through the scope of the role in more detail.
