Our client, the UK\’s largest manufacturer in their field, is looking for a Technical Estimator to support their growing sales and marketing team. Operating across the UK and international markets, they are known for delivering high-quality, secure fencing solutions.
Technical Estimator – The Role:
You\’ll be responsible for producing accurate quotations, interpreting technical drawings, and liaising with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction. You\’ll maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, helping to secure orders at target margins.
Company Benefits:
– Holiday: 25 days plus Bank Holidays (8)
– PMI: Taxable benefit but paid for by employer after probation

Technical Estimator – Key Responsibilities:
– Prepare accurate, timely quotations using up-to-date material, labour, and lead-time data
– Interpret drawings and complete detailed take-offs
– Maintain costing sheets and CRM records
– Work closely with manufacturing, design, and purchasing teams
– Understand products, standards, and technical requirements
– Support the sales team with bids and proposals
– Address technical challenges and suggest practical solutions
Technical Estimator – Requirements:
– Lead Estimating / Technical Estimator experience withing an engineering, manufacturing setting.
– Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office essential; basic CAD an advantage)
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills
– Willingness to learn and understand technical products
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, permanent days.
