A vacancy has arisen for a welder fabricator to work with our established clients design engineers, to assist in fabricating and building new production equipment.
Welder Fabricator responsibilities:
- Weld and fabricate new equipment designed by the engineering design team and repair existing equipment that requires welding.
- With oversight from both the Welding, Fabrication & Assembly Lead and the Head of Engineering, work with the engineering design team to provide fabrication input into the design of new equipment finding the compromise between design needs and ease of fabrication.
- After design freeze of new equipment, support the Welding, Fabrication & Assembly Lead in the project management of the fabrication of new equipment. This will include liaising with third party contractors and ordering in materials.
- After fabrication of sub-assemblies, support the Design Team in the project management and physical completion of assemblies.
- Learn new fabrication techniques to support your role. Examples include plastic welding, pipework and wood working.
Welder Fabricator must:
- Have a proven track record of high-quality stainless steel welding and general fabrication work.
- TIG welding experience but MIG experience considered.
- Work within the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment and be accustomed to reading relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and completing tasks in our Quality Management System (QMS).
- Work safely in your area and support the Head of Engineering in the creation and upkeep of RAMs and other documents in our H&S system and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g. PUWER).
- Have acute attention to detail.
- Have good problem-solving abilities.
- Be a strong team player.
