We are working on an exclusive basis with a well-established and growing business in South Leicester to recruit a Payroll Supervisor. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their payroll career (3-5 years' experience) who is looking to step up into a more senior, supervisory position.
This is a newly created role, designed to bridge the gap between Payroll Administration and Payroll Management. You'll play a key part in supporting the Payroll Manager while overseeing the day-to-day payroll operations and guiding the team.
- Support the Payroll Manager in delivering accurate, end-to-end payroll across the organisation
- Oversee day-to-day payroll processing and ensure deadlines are consistently met
- Act as the first point of contact for payroll queries
- Ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation, including PAYE, NIC, pensions, and RTI submissions
- Maintain accurate payroll records and support audits where required
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiencies
3-5 years' experience in payroll, with end-to-end processing experience
- Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and compliance
- Confident handling payroll queries and supporting junior staff
- Experience with Sage 50 Payroll is highly desirable
- Strong Excel and organisational skills
