SF Partners are working with a business based in Wolverhampton who are looking for a Senior Insolvency Administrator to join the team. The Role: Working closely with the firm's appointment-taking Insolvency Practitioner, you will be responsible for managing insolvency cases from initial instruction through to closure. The successful candidate will have broad insolvency experience and be comfortable dealing with the day-to-day technical and administrative requirements of a varied caseload. You will ideally have experience across a range of corporate and personal insolvency procedures, including:
- Creditors' Voluntary Liquidations (CVLs)
- Members' Voluntary Liquidations (MVLs)
- Administrations
- Bankruptcy and personal insolvency matters
- Other formal insolvency and business recovery assignments
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a portfolio of insolvency cases from appointment through to closure
- Preparing statutory documentation, reports and correspondence
- Liaising with directors, creditors, employees, stakeholders and other professional advisers
- Conducting investigations into company affairs and directors' conduct where required
- Preparing statements of affairs and assisting with asset realisations
- Dealing with creditor claims and distributions
- Ensuring statutory deadlines and compliance requirements are met
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive case files
- Using insolvency case-management software, ideally IPS Turnkey
- Supporting the Insolvency Practitioner with more complex assignments
- Assisting and supporting junior members of the insolvency team where appropriate
About You: Experience is the key consideration for this appointment. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Approximately 4-5 years' insolvency experience, although candidates with slightly more or less experience will be considered
- Experience at Senior Insolvency Administrator level, or readiness to step into a senior position
- A good working knowledge of both corporate and personal insolvency procedures
- The ability to manage cases with a good degree of autonomy
- Strong knowledge of insolvency legislation, procedures and statutory requirements
- Excellent organisation and case-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence dealing directly with creditors, directors and other stakeholders
- Previous experience using IPS Turnkey would be highly advantageous
Qualifications: A CPI qualification, equivalent insolvency qualification, or progress towards a relevant professional qualification would be desirable. However, practical insolvency experience and the ability to manage a varied caseload will be the primary considerations.
Career Development: This position would particularly suit an experienced Senior Administrator who is looking for greater responsibility and the opportunity to develop towards Insolvency Manager level. With a small specialist Business Recovery & Insolvency team within a larger accountancy practice, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with the appointment-taking Insolvency Practitioner and gain exposure to a broad range of assignments.
