SF Partners are delighted to be working with an ambitious medium-sized business based in West Bromwich to recruit a Senior Management Accountant into their finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied, hands-on role and wants to be involved in more than just month-end reporting. The business is well-established, growing steadily and offers the chance to work closely with senior finance and operational teams. The role will suit a Management Accountant who is comfortable taking ownership of monthly accounts, reporting, analysis and supporting the wider business with useful financial insight.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Produce variance analysis and commentary
- Support budgeting and forecasting
- Manage accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with cash flow reporting and financial planning
- Work closely with non-finance stakeholders to explain performance
- Support process improvements across finance
- Assist with year-end and audit requirements
- Provide ad hoc analysis for senior management
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience producing management accounts
- Be qualified or qualified by experience
- Have strong Excel skills
- Be confident working with finance and non-finance teams
- Be hands-on, accurate and able to meet deadlines
- Have experience within an SME or medium-sized business environment
