SF Engineering are recruiting for a Quality Technician for a Precision Manufacturing company based in Tewkesbury. With almost 50 years trading history and a real healthy orderbook, now is a great time to join their Quality department.

The role requires first off, patrol and final inspection across the engineering department working to specific tolerances and clearly identifying any discrepancies utilising CMM equipment in accordance with AS9100. Support production to resolve non-conformities found during the manufacturing and inspection activities.

Essential roles of the Quality Technician:

  • Fully understand technical drawings and convert the knowledge to visual and measured accuracies.
  • Verification of production machining operations as defined within the works order, verify a complete set of production records as collected, perform inspection tasks inline with product drawings and specs.
  • Raise non-conformance requests, FAI reports and programming CMM equipment.
  • To provide calibration expertise to tooling and finished products.

Previous experience and knowledge required for the Quality Technician role:

  • Visual inspection techniques.
  • Competent in the use of handheld measuring equipment and use of CMM Machines.
  • The ability to identify and comply with customer requirements.
  • Experience in production inspection within a machine shop environment is essential.

This position is working Monday to Thursday afternoon 2pm till 12am with a starting salary of £36,000 + shift allowance, OTE £45,000.
