The role is an essential part of the businesses working closely with NPI processes and adhering to strict quality requirements.
You will be actively involved and work closely with the shop floor, customers when on site and suppliers to ensure non-conformances are investigated and effectively corrected.
Roles & responsibilities for the CMM Programmer
- Create QA documents (FAIR, Quality Plans, Inspection & Testing)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Final inspections and outgoing quality inspections
- Ability to work with other departments.
- Support with first inspection of all in-process components and sub-assemblies
Knowledge & Skill requirements for the CMM Programmer
- Working knowledge of machining processes, CNC & Conventional. Inclusive of lathes, milling and drilling.
- FAI as per AS9102.
- Keen eye and attention to detail.
- Strong problem solving techniques and happy to challenge the norm.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time, working to tight deadlines.
- CMM Programming experience using Aberlink software within a precision, high speed environment.
Desirable requirements for the CMM Programmer
- HNC Mechanical/Manufacturing or Production Engineering Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or above
In return the business are able to offer you a days position Monday to Thursday 7:30am-4pm and Friday 7am-1pm.
