The predicted salary is between 50000 - 65000 £ per year.

We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered within budget through cost analysis and submitting valuations in a timely manner, while supporting the production team with feedback on forecasts. The successful candidate will also undertake weekly site visits to capture all scope of works required.

The Quantity Surveyor will:

  • Have previous surveying experience at a similar level within a similar environment
  • Hold a full, valid UK driving licence

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing and managing budgets for groundworks projects and conducting cost estimations (including pricing of materials and labour).
  • Liaising with site and production teams and accurately recording progress via regular site visits, participating in frequent on-site project team meetings and ensuring a focus on any cost-saving opportunities.
  • Evaluating and selecting subcontractors based on experience and pricing, ensuring subcontractor payments are managed and compliant with contract terms.
  • Measuring work completed on site and preparing interim valuations.
  • Assisting in the preparation of final accounts.
  • Preparing financial reports and forecasts for groundworks projects, and monitoring projects to identify any potential financial risks.
  • Liaising closely with clients, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure any potential issues or risks are promptly addressed.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards and maintaining accurate records and documentation for all commercial aspects of projects.
