SF Recruitment are partnering with a growing manufacturing business in Nottingham to recruit a Procurement Manager on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to take ownership of the purchasing function, driving strategic sourcing, supplier performance, and continuous improvement while leading a small team.

Reporting into senior leadership, you'll play a key role in ensuring the reliable supply of materials, goods, and services, while delivering cost savings, strengthening supplier relationships, and supporting the wider business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

-Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.

-Lead strategic sourcing activities, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management.

-Deliver cost savings through supplier optimisation, commercial negotiations, and total cost of ownership initiatives.

-Ensure continuity of supply by managing supplier risk and developing resilient sourcing strategies.

-Work closely with Operations, Planning, Quality, Finance, and Commercial teams to support business performance.

-Oversee purchasing processes, procurement compliance, and ERP master data.

-Utilise SAP and procurement data to improve reporting, decision-making, and operational efficiency.

-Drive process improvements, automation, and digital procurement initiatives.

-Support sustainability and responsible sourcing objectives across the supply chain.

-Lead, coach, and develop the procurement team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

About You

-A minimum of five years' procurement or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment.

-Proven experience negotiating supplier contracts and delivering measurable cost savings.

-Previous experience leading or mentoring a procurement team.

-Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

-Experience managing supplier relationships, mitigating supply chain risk, and driving continuous improvement.

-A data-driven approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

-Experience using SAP or other ERP/MRP systems, alongside advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
