We're recruiting a standalone Payroll Specialist to take full ownership of an in-house payroll function within a PE-backed business going through significant growth.
The Role:
- Take full ownership of the end-to-end payroll process, managing multiple payrolls across the business.
- Process both monthly and weekly payrolls, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Manage payroll calculations, input and processing, maintaining accurate employee and payroll records.
- Take responsibility for the existing payroll process and help ensure it remains effective as the business grows.
- Support payroll requirements arising from business growth and organisational change.
- Resolve payroll queries and ensure relevant payroll deadlines and requirements are met.
- Work independently as the business’s dedicated payroll specialist, while working closely with the wider finance team.
What We're Looking For:
- You’ll need to be a confident, experienced payroller who is comfortable working completely standalone and taking ownership of the payroll function without a Payroll Manager above you.
- An AAT qualification or broader accounts experience would be beneficial, as there may initially be scope to support the finance team.
- However, as the business grows, this position is expected to become a purely payroll-focused role.
- This would suit someone looking for genuine ownership of an in-house payroll function within a growing business.
