SF Partners are excited to be partnering with a growing business on the appointment of a newly created HR Manager role during an exciting period of transformation and change. The role will also lead and develop a small HR team, so strong leadership and coaching skills are essential. This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong process, systems and analytical capability who enjoys improving efficiency, creating structure and driving operational excellence across HR and payroll services. This is not an ER-focused position; the emphasis is very much on HR operations, reporting, planning, process improvement and HR systems. This role is primarily site-based with flexibility for home working. There is no extra travel required. The business is conveniently located in the East Midlands, with easy access from Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire, and is close to major motorway junctions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading HR and payroll operational processes across the full employee lifecycle
- Driving process improvement and operational efficiency across the HR function
- Supporting the implementation and optimisation of a new HRIS
- Developing KPI reporting, people analytics and workforce data insights
- Reviewing and redesigning HR processes to improve employee experience
- Managing annual pay and bonus review processes
- Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, GDPR and governance standards
- Supporting audit activity and maintaining accurate HR records
- Managing and developing a small HR operational team
- Acting as a key operational partner to the wider business
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience within HR operations and payroll environments
- Strong analytical skills with experience producing HR metrics and reporting
- Experience leading or developing a team is desirable; however, we are also open to candidates looking to take their first step into people management
- Experience improving processes and implementing systems/HRIS platforms
- Excellent organisational and planning capability
- A proactive and solutions focused approach
- Good understanding of UK employment law and GDPR
- CIPD Level 5 or above - desirable
