We are looking for a finance professional with significant experience using the COINS system to join our construction business as Systems Accountant. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will help us improve how we use COINS, strengthen finance processes and make better use of the system’s functionality.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands both finance and systems. You will work closely with finance colleagues and other teams across the business to identify improvements, support system upgrades and ensure COINS is used consistently and effectively.
- Act as the finance lead and key point of contact for COINS, supporting the CFO and finance team.
- Review how COINS is currently used across finance and identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and efficiency.
- Support system upgrades, enhancements, testing and implementation, coordinating with internal teams and external providers as needed.
- Improve the quality and consistency of system data, reporting and user practices.
- Help the business make better use of COINS functionality, including identifying areas where current processes or system features are underused.
- Document finance processes, system procedures and controls, and keep guidance up to date.
- Provide practical support and training to COINS users across the business.
- Investigate system issues, resolve problems where possible and escape more complex matters appropriately.
- Work with finance and operational teams to understand their requirements and translate them into effective system and process improvements.
- Support the CFO with finance systems projects and other process improvement initiatives.
Key attributes

- Confidence supporting system upgrades, testing, implementation or optimisation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to data quality and detail.
- Able to explain systems and processes clearly to people with different levels of technical knowledge.
- Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage priorities and see improvements through to completion.
