6-12 Month Contract | £400-£500 per day (Outside IR35) | Hybrid (4 Days On-Site) South Birmingham

SF Partners are supporting a highly successful and growing business in South Birmingham in the appointment of an experienced Interim Financial Modeller. This is a key project-focused assignment where you will work closely with the senior leadership team to enhance the quality, depth and accuracy of the organisation's financial forecasting, scenario modelling and cash flow planning capabilities.

The business is entering an exciting phase of growth and is seeking an individual who can build robust financial models that support strategic decision-making, funding discussions and long-term planning.

The Role

  • Building and enhancing sophisticated financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Developing detailed cash flow forecasts and liquidity planning tools.
  • Creating dynamic scenario and sensitivity analysis models.
  • Supporting covenant monitoring and forecasting.
  • Modelling the financial impact of various commercial, operational and strategic scenarios.
  • Working with senior stakeholders to challenge assumptions and improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Translating large volumes of financial and operational data into meaningful insights.
  • Providing recommendations and analysis to support future growth and investment decisions.
  • Reviewing existing forecasting processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.

The Person

We are seeking an experienced finance professional with a strong background in financial modelling, forecasting and commercial analysis.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience delivering complex financial modelling projects.
  • Advanced Excel modelling skills.
  • Strong FP&A, commercial finance or financial modelling experience.
  • Experience developing cash flow forecasts and scenario planning models.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously and quickly understand complex business drivers.
  • A hands-on approach with a focus on delivering practical, value-adding outputs.
  • Experience within automotive, retail, distribution or multi-site businesses would be advantageous, although this is not essential.
