SF Partners are currently recruiting for an experienced Systems Accountant / Finance Transformation specialist to join a growing organisation on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a key role within a major finance transformation programme, supporting the standardisation of finance processes and systems across multiple entities and helping build a more efficient, controlled and technology-enabled finance function. We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) who combines strong technical accounting and finance process knowledge with hands-on finance systems and ERP implementation experience. Working closely with the Programme Manager and senior Finance stakeholders, you'll act as a key link between Finance, Systems and IT, taking ownership of key areas across finance process design, ERP implementation, testing, data migration and cutover. Key responsibilities Review, map and standardise end-to-end finance processes across multiple entities Apply strong accounting knowledge to ensure new processes and system configurations meet Finance requirements Support the implementation and optimisation of the organisation's ERP platform Translate accounting and reporting requirements into practical system and process solutions Support the design of the chart of accounts, financial controls, reporting structures and finance workflows Develop and execute test strategies, plans, scripts and test cases Coordinate and support SIT and UAT, including defect management, resolution and Finance sign-off Lead finance data cleansing, validation and enhancement ahead of migration Support data migration, reconciliation and cutover activities Ensure migrated financial data is complete, accurate and appropriately reconciled Work closely with Finance, IT, operational teams and third-party implementation partners Take ownership of finance systems and transformation workstreams, driving activity through to completion What we're looking for You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a strong understanding of accounting processes, financial controls and reporting, combined with significant finance systems and transformation experience. Previous hands-on experience of an ERP implementation or major finance systems transformation is essential. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be highly advantageous, although strong experience with other ERP platforms will also be considered. You'll ideally have experience across areas including general ledger, AP, AR, fixed assets, cash management, month-end close, management reporting and financial reporting, with the ability to understand how these processes translate into ERP functionality. You'll also have practical experience of SIT, UAT, defect management, data migration, reconciliation and test sign-off, and be comfortable taking ownership of deliverables rather than operating purely in an advisory capacity. Experience working within a multi-entity finance environment, particularly involving process standardisation, ERP implementation and finance data migration, would be a significant advantage. This role would suit an experienced Systems Accountant, Finance Systems Accountant, Finance Transformation Accountant or qualified accountant with substantial ERP implementation experience who enjoys operating at the intersection of Finance and Technology.
