We are looking for a commercially minded Management Accountant to join a growing finance team and provide high-quality financial reporting, analysis and insight to support business decision-making.
Working closely with the wider Finance team and operational stakeholders, you will take ownership of key areas of the management accounts process, helping ensure accurate and timely reporting while providing meaningful analysis of business performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
- Take ownership of month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Produce monthly profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
- Analyse financial performance against budget, forecast and prior periods.
- Investigate variances and provide clear commentary on key business drivers.
- Support the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
- Work closely with operational and commercial teams to improve financial understanding and decision-making.
- Produce regular and ad-hoc management information, reports and financial analysis.
- Monitor costs, margins and other key financial and operational KPIs.
- Support cash flow management and forecasting.
- Maintain robust financial controls and ensure the integrity of financial information.
- Assist with year-end reporting and provide information required by external auditors.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, reporting and systems.
- Support senior finance leadership with projects and additional analysis as required.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong accounting fundamentals with an ability to understand the commercial drivers behind the numbers.
You will ideally have
- Previous experience within a Management Accountant, Assistant Management Accountant or similar finance role.
- Strong experience preparing monthly management accounts.
- Good knowledge of month-end accounting, including accruals, prepayments, journals and reconciliations.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of financial data.
- Experience using accounting or ERP systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate financial information.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The confidence to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
- A proactive approach with an interest in improving processes and ways of working.
Qualifications
Ideally, you will be qualified or part-qualified, although candidates who are qualified by experience and can demonstrate the appropriate level of expertise will also be considered.
