SF Partners are working with a fantastic global organisation who are looking to onboard an Assistant Accountant in their Frankfurt office. The Assistant Accountant supports the finance function by maintaining accurate financial reporting, maintaining financial controls and supporting the financial operations of the organisation across the region/regions they support.
The role supports accounting activities related to membership subscriptions, professional services, events and regional programmes. The assistant accountant assists with month-end processes, reconciliations and reporting while collaborating with colleagues across finance and regional teams.
- Financial reporting support
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts for the region/regions.
- Support the month-end close process, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Assist with the analysis of income streams such as membership subscriptions, training programmes and events.
- Prepare journals, accruals, and prepayments as part of the monthly close cycle.
- Assist with variance analysis and provide supporting information for management reporting.
- Balance sheet and reconciliations
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
- Maintain supporting documentation for key accounts.
- Ensure financial data is accurate, complete, and aligned with accounting policies.
- Transactional finance support
- Support processing and review of accounts payable, receivable, and intercompany transactions where required.
- Assist with intercompany reconciliations across the region/regions.
- Ensure transactions are recorded accurately in the financial system.
- Audit and compliance
- Assist in preparing documentation and schedules required for external and internal audits.
- Support compliance with local statutory and group reporting requirements.
- Maintain organised records to ensure audit readiness.
- Stakeholder collaboration
- Work closely with colleagues across finance and operations to gather information and resolve queries.
- Support the finance team by providing timely and accurate financial information.
- Engage constructively with stakeholders when additional information is required.

- Support the identification of process improvements within finance operations.
