SF Recruitment is recruiting for a fantastic business who are enjoying continued success and are looking to hire a Permanent Finance Assistant on a Full Time permanent basis. They have a fantastic reputation for great customer service in their market and they are looking for an experienced accounts candidate to join them at their Head Office in Derby.

Role Overview

The Finance Reporting Assistant will support the central finance team by ensuring financial data is accurate, complete, and reported in a timely manner. The role focuses on maintaining high standards of financial administration, assisting with routine reporting, and supporting the preparation and review of financial information. Working closely with the central team, the postholder will help compile reports, check and validate financial data, investigate discrepancies, and assist with reconciliations. The Finance Reporting Assistant will play a key role in maintaining strong financial controls, ensuring compliance with internal procedures, and supporting the smooth running of the wider finance function.

Main Responsibilities of the Role will include:

  • Manage Purchase Ledger
  • Scan folder errors
  • Purchase Ledger Account creation
  • Report & review on Group Funding Utilisation & limits and error report
  • Produce and distribute the Intercompany report and control to ensure all balance at month end close off
  • Reconcile and assist in resolving any issues ensuring this will balance at month end close off
  • Produce and distribute spreadsheets
  • Collate and distribute weekly forecast report & narrative

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

  • Previous experience working in an Accounts Department
  • A good understanding of general accounting functions
  • Strong Excel/Data Inputting skills
  • Have a proactive and driven attitude
  • Have an excellent eye for detail
  • Express a positive attitude
  • Be a team player
