A growing B2B business is looking to appoint a Sales Data & Insights Analyst to support the National Sales Director and wider sales leadership team with high-quality reporting, analysis and commercial insight. This is a highly visible role sitting close to the sales function, acting as a key support to senior sales leadership. The successful candidate will help improve how sales performance is measured, understood and communicated across the business.
This role combines hands-on Power BI and reporting capability with strong commercial analysis and stakeholder engagement. The business is looking for someone who can not only build useful reporting and dashboards, but also interpret the data, identify trends and provide clear, actionable insight to support better decision-making. You will work closely with sales stakeholders across the business, attending meetings where required and helping shape how reporting and insight supports the wider sales function.
Key Responsibilities- Produce and maintain a suite of sales reports and dashboards for the National Sales Director and wider sales teams
- Analyse sales performance, customer activity, pipeline trends and commercial data
- Develop and enhance Power BI reporting to improve visibility across the sales function
- Provide clear, practical insight around sales performance, opportunities and risks
- Work closely with senior sales stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and business challenges
- Attend national sales meetings where required
- Help improve the quality, consistency and usability of sales reporting across the business
- Translate data into commercially meaningful recommendations and actions
- Strong experience within a Sales Analyst, Commercial Analyst or Data & Insights role
- Strong reporting and analytical capability, including Power BI
- Experience working with sales, commercial or customer performance data
- Ability to work end-to-end from data through to insight delivery
- Comfortable engaging directly with senior sales stakeholders
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain data clearly to non-technical audiences
- Commercially aware, proactive and confident enough to challenge where appropriate
- Experience within a B2B environment would be highly beneficial
