SF Engineering are currently working with a Manufacturing business based in the black country who are looking to hire an NPI Project Manager. The position will focus on creating long term partnerships with current and potentially new OEM customers, with the aim to continuously improve service and quality assurance. It is essential that you demonstrate effective communication skills, with the ability to engage with colleagues and senior stakeholders. You will be tasked with coordinating, participating and supporting improvements to increase the quality of products.
Responsibilities of the successful NPI Project Manager will include:
- Clear and concise communication and reporting on all activities to customers and stakeholders including weekly status updates.
- Coordinate action plans and ensure cross functionality between all departments.
- Work closely with tooling engineers, external suppliers including scanning, measurement and technical resource.
- Minimise internal and external scrap.
- Upgrade and maintain NPI to ensure all manufacturing data is logged, with finishing instructions and packaging.
- Work closely with the quality department for PPAP & APQP operations.
Other tasks that will be required within the role:
- Liaise closely with sales function to expand markets for potential customer and applications.
- Assist with customer visits and liaise on audits.
- Recommend projects to improve performance and implement cost saving ideas.

- Daily review and analysis of internal rejects
- External rejects/quality
- H&S and environmental
- Production
- Sample/NPI
- Monthly business plan
- Participate in process and quality audits.
In return we are able to offer £45,000 as a starting salary, working 40 hours a week with flexibility on start and finish times.
