SF Partners are recruiting a Management Accountant to join a growing organisation following a recent acquisition.
This is a broad role combining management accounting, financial accounting and business partnering. You’ll take ownership of the numbers for a business unit while working closely with operational teams to understand performance and provide meaningful financial insight.
The role:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- Take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and support audit requirements
- Partner with operational teams around costs, budgets and revenue
- Support the Senior Finance Business Partner and FD with budgets and forecasts
- Identify financial risks and opportunities, providing clear insight to the wider business
- Produce ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support commercial decision-making
- Support improvements to financial processes, reporting and controls
- Provide wider support to the senior finance team as required
About you:
We’re looking for someone with at least two years’ experience preparing management accounts, with particularly strong balance sheet and reconciliation experience.
You could be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified/finalist, although relevant experience and a strong understanding of accounting fundamentals are equally important.
You’ll need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, getting into the detail when required and communicating effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
An SME background would be particularly well suited to the breadth and hands-on nature of the position.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a varied Management Accountant role with exposure to business partnering, FP&A and a recently acquired business.
